Welcome to Designer Grips & Scales! We are a trio of enthusiasts that create one-of-a-kind knife scales made with exotic leathers. DGS began when long-time pocket knife enthusiast, Andrew, and long-time 3D printing enthusiast, Dave (Andrew's dad), joined with close friend and exotic leather artisan, Brian, to bring exotic leathers to the knife world. Brian has mastered his craft in producing exotic leather goods for over 15 years, and his skills and proven techniques have applied perfectly to the creation of our knife scales.

During the initial design and testing phase of our products, we invited a handful of passionate members of the Knafs Moon Crew Facebook group to assist us in pressure-testing the materials and design. They carried our scales extensively and provided valuable input into our final product improvements. Their feedback helped us create a rigorous testing process with several facets that allow us to ensure we are providing quality products.

All of our exotic leather materials are legally imported and sustainably sourced from tanneries worldwide. They are imported following all laws and regulations implemented by US and worldwide regulatory agencies.

Our products are perfect for collectors, knife enthusiasts, and anyone looking to give their favorite blade a pop of personality. Each of our products are handcrafted in Atlanta, Georgia with passion and precision, and we are confident you will love them as much as we do!
